Default Map 20 - Zelina - Land of the Pure

Since ancient times people of Zelina considered themselves to be the ones chosen by the Gods. The Great river of Life that connects with almost half of the whole world originated there circling around the Plateau of Beginning. Unfortunately other nations didnt exactly agree with this worldview and while the Ravells nation seems to be on good or at least neutral terms with them the heathen Chashio-land took a part of their God given land to get to the sea. Waldronates also dont see eye to eye to the ancient tradition of setting your deceased ones to flow down the Great river of Life and tend to sacrilegiously and unceremoniously fish them out. The nerve of those people! But never the matter, Zelina grows in size and power due to the rich rice fields in the south and the rare ores found at the Plateau of Beginning. Soon they will make their move to get back what is rightfully theirs, given to them by the Gods themselves!

So I looked at the position of my land and at its neighbours and it kinda reminded me of Southern Asia so I decided to make it in a way that could be geographically and geopolitically feasible. The nation is very spiritual and proud. They feel they lost their ancient territories during history and want to get them back, one way or another.

More details and names (and name changes possibly) will come later.

I decreased the size for the wip uploads but am working on double the size of the original image. So far I did only the background texture and borders.

    Cheers,
    Barek

Sure, I think my nation thinks of others as lesser people so it shouldn't be a problem to be on bad terms with everyone around

Maybe I should make them bigger. Didnt want to before because of the scale, but maybe it would look better.

I think the mountains are nicely sized! Could do with a bit more variation in steepness, that's all I can think of
