Welcome aboard.
You sound a lot like me. Started in 78 with the Blue Box basic game. I am 41.
Well I just found this site last night.
I'm a dad who plays D and D with his sons ... this is a great place for ideas and tips on map making -
Thanks to everyone - and especially those who are doing the GIMP.
I have an old version of Photoshop but I like the spirit and philosophy on the GIMP freeware...
I started role playing games in 79 when my cousin showed me his "chainmail" combat game and then the next year taught me adventure role playing...
Thanks again for putting together such a great site - and thanks to all who have contributed.
see you around

Welcome!
I am also 41, a dad, and started RPGs with the old Blue Box Basic D&D set back in '78 (by the way, great avatar NK!)
I've been thrashing about with hand drawn maps (mine are terrible) and CC3 (a little better) for years, and stumbled on this site a few days ago. It's awesome!

Welcome to the Guild, Billy. I started D&D back in the early 80s (i'm in my late 30s) so I guess I could be considered an 'old timer' as well.
Cheers,
Tim

Howdy howdy!
I started role playing in the late 90's as D&D was making the big switch to 3e.
I'm a young one. 25.
Welcome aboard, count me in as a member of the 'Old Fogey's club, I'm 42 and started palying back in the early 80's. Though not so much anymore.
