    Thanks J.Edward and Max. I think hiding the grid and lables and adding them back after flattening is the way to go. The experience has definitely made me think a bit more about how I stack layers and arrange groups.

    Updated with icons and labels. The map is pretty much done at this point. Once the client will check and validate it, I'll go on frame, title and compass (likely this would be in the finished thread)

    I like seeing the progression, it really gives you the feel like this is something that is possible to be done.
    I still think some of you are wizards that just wave a magic wand and poof a map comes out. (I realize many hours go into all of these. But still I like seeing the progression.)
