Question How to insert images cleanly

How do I attach images without showing this: [img] x [img]. The answer is probably very simple, but I have no clue how any of this works

Hi C_Splash! Are you using the "insert image" button at the top of the post editor? It's the fourth one from the left in this screenshot, which I have attached using "insert image". It looks like a little tree.

if you do that, the image ID is between the [ATTACH=CONFIG] and [/ATTACH] tags. I'm not sure how you're getting the [IMG] tags, but from fiddling around with settings on my end, it seems you can attach images at the end by using the "manage attachments" options below the post editor. I've attached a screenshot of that with the "manage attachments" options.

If you haven't already, try the insert image button and see if it works.

I generally use the 'Manage Attachments' button. There's instructions here on what to do.
